This is an older cluster of stars. There are thousands and thousands in this cluster. There are so many that if you were on a planet near a star in the middle, you'd have no night. The stars are so close and there are so many, that you'd have enough "nightlight" to read a good Astronomy textbook.
There are a range of stars in this cluster. Some are hotter and some are colder. One type is blue and the other type is red. Do you know which is which? You might be wrong. Hotter stars are blue. Colder stars are red. That's not the way the faucets are marked at school. I keep burning my hands because I keep mixing the two up. For stars: red= cooler and blue = hotter. (yellow is in between)
Do you find some hotter and cooler stars in the image? Where are they? What filters helped you.
